Villa Buth has stood empty since the last working-class families moved out in the early 2000s. It’s a haunted house. Left to decay.

The photos clearly show just how poor the condition of the building has become:

The owner does not seem interested in halting the building's deterioration or finding a new use for it. The only actions on his part that are evident are: Door and window openings are barricadedto prevent intruders from entering. However, this security measure also contributes to worsening the moisture problem that is evidently already present in the rooms.
The decline is being accelerated rather than halted.
